Special Activities
|
| The school gives encouragement and provides facilities for extracurricular activities. Special training is given in music for talented children. Sports activities are encouraged and our children have won prizes at the District level sports. Other cultural activities such as public speaking, drama etc., are encouraged.

High School Children are introduced to Vocational Training- Tailoring, Greeting Cards and Bag making are popular among the girls and disabled children. Carpentry and Electrical wiring is also being taught. In this connection, the school is grateful to Rotary Club and Inner Wheel Club of Bangalore East for their help in providing the basic infrastructure for Tailoring and Carpentry training.

School is associated with the Community Polytechnic Scheme of HRD, Govt. of India, organized by MEI Polytechnic, Rajajinagar, Bangalore. Certificates are issued to successful candidates. At present Tailoring, Embroidery, Electrical-Wiring, Computer courses are being conducted. Large number of our senior students have participated and obtained certificates. These courses are open to the general public.

Mid-day meal program

The Trust with the help of sympathizers provided free mid-day meal to the children
upto Seventh standard during 1999 - 2003 : since then, the scheme has been
extended to cover all children with the co-operation of the Institute of Management.
Since December 2004, the Ameya foundation, Bangalore has kindly agreed to provide mid-day meal to all the children. |
